Frequently asked questions
What is the MP2 dividend rate?
The latest declared MP2 rate is 7.12% for 2025, announced February 27, 2026. MP2 dividend rates are flexible and are declared each year after the Fund's net income is computed and approved by its Board of Trustees. Past rates do not guarantee future rates.
How much is the minimum MP2 savings?
₱500.00 per payment. You can save monthly, make one-time payments, or both.
Should I choose annual payout or compounded dividends?
Annual dividend payout, or compounded dividends paid at the end of the term. With compounding, each year's dividends also earn dividends, so you get more in total. Annual payout gives you cash every year but less at the end.
Can I withdraw my MP2 savings early?
Yes, without penalty for these reasons: total disability or insanity; separation from service because of health; death of the member or an immediate family member; retirement; permanent departure from the country; unemployment due to layoff or closure of the company; critical illness of the member or an immediate family member (cancer, organ failure, heart-related illness, stroke, neuromuscular illness), subject to approval; repatriation of an OFW member; other grounds approved by the Board. For any other reason you only get 50% of the dividends earned, and if you already received annual dividends, the penalty is deducted from your savings.
What happens when my MP2 matures?
MP2 matures 5 years after your first payment. If you don't withdraw at maturity, your savings stop earning MP2 dividends and earn the regular Pag-IBIG savings rate for the next two years; after that they are reclassified as accounts payable. To continue, open a new MP2 account.
Are MP2 dividends taxed?
The Pag-IBIG Fund law exempts the Fund's earnings and 'all benefit payments made by the Pag-IBIG Fund' from tax. It does not mention MP2 dividends by name, so confirm with Pag-IBIG.
How does this calculator compute dividends?
It assumes each payment earns the yearly rate for the months it stays in your account during the year, with dividends added up once a year. Pag-IBIG's exact method may differ slightly, so treat the result as an estimate.
